Goddamn Tesla Museum Success of the Day: At last, Nikola Tesla will finally have his due. Last week, comedy site The Oatmeal spearheaded a campaign to purchase the New York property of the inventor’s last laboratory and turn it into a museum.
According to The Oatmeal Facebook page,
Someone jumped in at the last minute and donated $33,333. WE JUST HIT OUR GOAL: $873,169! With the matching grant from NY state, this puts us at $1.7 million raised in 6 days!
An impressive feat to say the least, and the least that could be done to recognize one of the great pioneers of the electronic era.
